General

  • ADHD coaching is a forward-focused, goal-oriented partnership built around your specific patterns and goals. It is not counseling or mental health support. Coaching lives in the present and future — identifying what's getting in the way, building working structures that hold, and creating real forward momentum in your daily life, career, or school performance.

  • Coaching addresses performance, goals, and daily working structures. It does not identify or address mental health conditions, process emotional history, or provide a clinical service of any kind.   • For most of our coaching services, no — you do not need a formal identification. For Lessons in Living specifically, an ADHD identification is required. If you're unsure whether coaching is right for you, schedule a free consultation and we'll help you figure it out.

  • Yes. We work with children, teens, and adults across all of our coaching services. Some programs are designed specifically for adults — see individual program sections below for details.

  • No. Coaching is not a licensed clinical service and is not covered by insurance of any kind. All fees are private pay, due at the time of service. HSA and FSA cards are accepted. If you are looking for services that may be covered under your insurance plan, please visit The Life Empowerment Center.

  • Do you offer in-person sessions? We are a virtual practice. All coaching sessions and programs are held online. You can work with us from anywhere.

1:1 Coaching & Executive Coaching

  • Sessions are one-on-one, virtual, and built entirely around you. We start by understanding your patterns, goals, and what has and hasn't worked before. From there, each session is direct and practical — focused on building working structures, working through what's getting in the way, and leaving with clear next steps you can act on.

  • Initial intake sessions are 75 minutes. Ongoing coaching sessions are 50 minutes.

  • Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum. As progress develops, some clients move to biweekly sessions. Session cadence is always discussed and agreed upon together.

  • There is no set timeline. Coaching is not open-ended, but the right length depends on your goals and progress. We set clear goals, track progress, and adjust along the way. We'll always be honest with you about where things stand.

  • Executive coaching focuses on leadership performance, decision capacity, cognitive load management, and the ADHD patterns that most affect high-stakes professional and academic environments. We work with corporate executives, senior leaders, founders, entrepreneurs, and students building foundational leadership skills. See the Executive Coaching page for full details.

  • 1:1 ADHD coaching is broader — covering daily life, personal goals, relationships, school, and general performance. Executive coaching is focused specifically on leadership and professional performance. If you're unsure which is the better fit, we'll help you figure that out during your free consultation.

  • Fees vary by coach. Visit our Fees & Payment page for current rates.

  • We require 48 hours notice for Monday appointments and 24 hours notice for Tuesday through Friday appointments. Cancellations with less than the required notice will be charged the full session fee. Late cancellation fees may be waived at our discretion in the case of a genuine emergency.

ADHD Town Hall

  • Town Hall is a live, virtual Q&A community hosted by James Ochoa. It runs in six-session series and is open to ADHDers, partners and spouses, and professionals who work with ADHD. It's informal, affordable, and built for real conversation — no rigid agenda, no lecture format.

  • Anyone who wants to learn more about ADHD, ask questions in real time, and connect with a community of people who get it. You do not need an ADHD identification to join. Town Hall is open to participants anywhere.

  • Sessions are held live via Zoom on Thursday evenings, 7–8 PM CST, for six consecutive weeks. Each session has a topic focus and includes open Q&A discussion with James Ochoa.

  • $150 for all six sessions.

  • Yes. Recordings are included with your membership and accessible after each session.

  • Full refund if cancelled 30 or more days before the start date. Cancellations within 30 days will receive a credit toward the next series. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel.

Living Well with ADHD

  • Living Well with ADHD is a one-day online workshop for adults with ADHD — and anyone who wants to understand the ADHD mind more deeply. It's based on the book Focused Forward and built around an ADHD-friendly format: interactive stories, live Q&A, and bite-sized actionable content. Open to participants anywhere.

  • Adults with ADHD, professionals who work with ADHD, and anyone in an ADHD person's support network. The format and content are designed to be valuable across all three audiences.

  • Fall 2026 — date TBA. Join the waitlist for priority access and updates.

  • Early Bird: $175 | Regular: $195 | Student: $175 | CEUs: +$15

    CEU note: CEUs are issued for Texas-licensed professionals. If you are licensed in another state, please verify with your state licensing board whether Texas-issued CEUs will be accepted before registering for the add-on.

Storm Team

  • Storm Team is a comprehensive, self-paced ADHD coaching and education program covering 12 essential ADHD management topics. It combines evidence-informed approaches with mindfulness, meditation, and personalized strategy development — at your pace, on your schedule. Open to participants anywhere.

  • Adults with ADHD who want a structured, self-directed way to build better working structures and deepen their understanding of their own wiring. You do not need an ADHD identification to join.

  • Yes. You get immediate access to all content upon enrollment and can move through it at whatever pace works for you. There are no deadlines and no cohort schedule to keep up with.

  • All 12 program modules, lifetime access to all materials, and a free signed copy of Focused Forward: Navigating the Emotional Storms of Adult ADHD.

Lessons in Living

  • Lessons in Living is a 10-week online group coaching program covering core ADHD life skills — from time navigation and emotional development to relationships, organization, and self-care. Sessions are small, intimate, and discussion-based, with a maximum of six participants per cohort.

  • Adults with ADHD who are ready for a structured, community-based learning experience. Participants must have an ADHD identification and must reside in Texas.

  • Lessons in Living is a counseling-based group program, which means participants must be physically located in Texas at the time of each session per state licensing requirements.

  • Sessions meet online on Thursday mornings, 9:30–11:00 AM CST, for 10 consecutive weeks. Each session includes guided micro-meditations, psychoeducation, group discussion, and a bonus weekly laser coaching session with Jennifer Walsh to review and deepen each week's topic.

  • Maximum six participants. This is intentional — the small size is what makes the depth of conversation possible.

  • $1,111 total ($111 per session).

  • Full refund if cancelled 30 or more days before the start date. Cancellations within 30 days will receive a credit toward the next Lessons in Living series. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel.

Navigator Training

  • Navigator Training is a 12-week virtual program for coaches, licensed professionals, and anyone who works with adults with ADHD. It provides direct access to James Ochoa's complete ADHD coaching methodology — built from 30+ years of experience in the field. Open to participants anywhere.

  • Coaches, licensed professionals, and any practitioner who works with ADHD clients and wants to deepen their expertise. You do not need to be a licensed clinician to participate.

  • Sessions meet virtually via Zoom on Thursdays, 11:30 AM–1:30 PM CST, for 12 consecutive weeks. Sessions alternate between education and live case consultation in a discussion-based format — no PowerPoint presentations.

  • Maximum six participants, ensuring direct access and personalized attention throughout the program.

  • $2,400 total. A $500 deposit is required to secure your spot, with the balance due no later than 30 days before the training begins.

  • A signed copy of Focused Forward, access to archived session recordings, listening privileges at Town Hall, and inclusion on the referral list for client connections.

    • More than 30 days before training starts: full $500 deposit refunded; remaining balance refunded if paid

    • Less than 30 days before training starts: $500 deposit forfeited; remaining balance refunded if paid

    • After training begins: no refunds available
